Pentair IC40 no flow light on

IC40 flow switch was no longer coming on. Was told to jump Red/Black wires together and flow light should turn green - didn't work. Removed switch and checked Red/Black wires with meter with switch closed - reading open circuit. Ordered new flow switch and having same problems.. flow light won't turn green when Red/black jumpered or reads open circuit when testing with meter. Could it be another bad switch or something with cell. Cell is clean and switch is installed in direction of flow.

Sorry to say this mean your cell is bad.. The circuit that should recognize that the flow switch is closed is not working..

When you jumper the red and black the Flow light should turn green.. Since it did not, then the problem is not the flow switch, but rather the cell itself.

If you have Pentair automation, then it only makes sense to go back with Pentair.. If I did not have a Pentair automation system, I would go with a CircuPool unit... A lot of good posts about them here on TFP...

If you have Pentair Automation or the Pentair power center, then an IC 40 is about $600 bucks from these guys.. Note:.. This have gone up to $700 bucks in the last few days.. Sigh!!
