Hard to tell for sure.Should I put pool off because foreign body causes damage?
It's a judgment call based on exactly what you observe onsite.

Not the flow switch. It looks good. I will take my multi-meter to it tomorrow. Were they visibly damaged?
At what speed? The pressure gauge on the filter seems quite low. (needle only 10% deviation from starting point) Being new at this I don't know if too low represents any issue when all else seems ok (except for the rattle I mentioned)
1500 rpm and do not knowAt what speed?
What is the actual pressure?
Tres observant!! There used to be. Rusted out and bypassed! Why does the pipe go into the ground and then back up?
What does it go to?
Is there a heater?

At 1,500 rpm, the pressure will be pretty low.1500 rpm and do not know
Thank you for this info: I now have a theory why both my temp sensor and flow sensor went at same moment. Here is the theory. I suspect the check light came on when the temp sensor cord was crushed by the scissors like effect of the filter trapping the wire beneath the cement below and the base of the filter. Leaning against the filter allows just enough space for the cord to slip under it if kicked or something. I believe in the process of checking out the problem of the lit check light , the tech probably turned off or turned down the variable speed motor. The reason I believe this is (1) I found the crushed temp wire under the filter base and (2) after replacing the wire and after replacing the flow sensor the pump did not start. The pump did not start despite all check lights being off and the filter light and the pool lights were lit on the PS-8. When i manually turned on pump all was well. . I suspect that if I put my old flow switch back in, it would work. But I am not going to bother as they are temporary until I get quality ones. You said it James the Chinese Crud is no good we use Harwil. Their reps are nice and very knowledgeable.View attachment 553971
No.Thank you J since both appeared at once, is there any connection? This is to say would temp sensor short trigger flow sensor issue?
