All three of my Pentair globrite pool lights burned out within two years in my new pool. I want to replace them with a better light. Someone mentioned trying Florida Sunseeker’s Pool Tone nicheless large face lights. Has anyone had any experience with these? I can’t find much online about them and they are $350 a piece.

The Pool Tone lights have not fit well or lasted longer for members who tried them.

In 2024, Pentair released an improved GloBrite light with a blue gasket and black end cap (left side), with improvements to the electronics inside to fix the failures the lights have been having.

The issue with the original Globrites was that two different types of material were used in manufacturing. The body and the end where the wire went into the light were different, so when the lights were on, they generated heat, and the seal broke, filling the light with water, which resulted in cracking the housing.
