Newbie! I took the filter out for the first time and put a new cartridge filter in. However, I can't get the lid back on! I have tried twisting, turning, straight on, etc Nothing seems to work to get over the o-ring! Any tips or tricks! The pool guy made it look so easy! LOL!

How old was the original cartridge?? They are meant to be cleaned.. You should not have to replace them but once every 5 to 8 years. Or if they get damaged.
I put lube on both the O-Ring and the lip of the lid... When you lube the O-Ring do not pull the O-Ring toward you through your fingers... You will just make the O-Ring stretch and get bigger.
Once they get streached out of shape it makes it much harder to get the lid on..

Everything is brand new. I discovered the trick.... wait until husband is home and let him do it! Lol! I guess that I’m not tall enough or strong enough to push it on!!!
