Hi, I’m having problems with my pool’s control panel Motherboard. I’m trying to set up the schedules but the display won’t stop blinking and I can’t select the option that I want to change (time,day,am-pm) because it jumps from one to the other non stop. Have you experience this issue before? Thank I’m advance for any help or tips.

D,

Is this an old system that quite working or is this a new install? If a new install, do you have the air and water sensors connected yet??

Do you have ScreenLogic or are you using the little 3" LCD on the main panel??

Thanks,

Jim R.

D,
Give us some more detail on the behavior you're seeing... you said:

"...but the display won’t stop blinking and I can’t select the option that I want to change (time,day,am-pm) because it jumps from one to the other non stop"

I'm assuming you did Menu > Schedules > picked a circuit (aux1, 2 or something), and now you're setting the time...
1. what item is flashing? (the "select" button cycles through the items you set, like mode, on/off hours/mins, days, etc)
2. what is it jumping from and to? it might be helpful to see what's on your display.

Just trying to figure out what you're actually seeing. It seems likes your board has a button that's stuck, but if the select button was stuck I think you'd have bigger issues.

Hi Tom,
This is the issue I am experiencing.
The display flashes non stop as well as the schedule options, no allowing me to select the option I want to set up. (Time, day, etc.) jumps from one to the other.
Replaced the clock battery but the issues is still going on.

Wow... never seen that before. It doesn't look like a bad lcd - usually entire rows or columns are out, not single characters. And the characters that are showing don't even look right... I'd expect the bottom row to have the days of the week with the underline showing if they're enabled/disabled.

  1. Is setting a schedule the only mode that exhibits this behavior or are there other screens that are garbled?
  2. What version of firmware is this running? (go to menu > diagnostics > software rev)?
  3. I can't tell where you are... have you had any storms or power surges corresponding to when this happened?

btw, I forgot to mention before that the clock battery doesn't do anything but keep the clock chip ticking away... when the battery dies you won't lose anything except the current time - but only if you lose power.

Not sure what this is but I hope it answer you question about the software.

interesting... 1 4 6 means the backlight (1), the buttons (4) and the relay/valve/sensors (6) have issues.

clearly the backlight is ok ;)

do you notice any particular buttons not working right?
can you manually enable/disable all of the aux circuits and valves you've got configured?

See what happens with JimR's suggestion of uplugging everything (take a photo first!)

also, i never saw any comment on these questions...

Good afternoon,
Yes, the schedules are the only showing this behavior. All the buttons are working as the should.
thanks again ogdento

Go ahead and try Jim's idea - unplug everything from the board other than the power plug and see if you still have the issue...

if that doesn't make any difference then I'd consider clearing the eeprom and seeing if that clears up the problem (NOTE! unless you have an indoor controller or a wireless/handheld remote, you will have to set up your equipment again and reprogram the board... which may prove difficult if schedules aren't working)

Good afternoon,

I tried Jim’s idea, nothing has changed but now the pool pump won’t start. I have to start it manually through the intelliflo. Any idea on how I can fix this so I can start I with the panel?
Thank you

Is the pump's comm cable re-connected to the comm port (j20)? it should be connected to the yellow and green terminals.

If it is re-connected, does your pump's lcd show "Display Not Active"? (this message means the Easytouch is running the pump... so we know it can talk to the Easytouch)
