Pentair Easy Touch 8 Remote Problems

My remote turns on, but the buttons aren't working. When I go to the main box, I can only control the pool in service mode. Is the problem the remote, antenna, both, or what?

Welcome to TFP... A Great resource for all your pool questions... :swim:

I have ScreenLogic, not the remotes, but below is how to reset your remote address originally posted by "Pool Clown"...

"Try resetting the address.

From the load center at the equipment:

press menu.
press up arrow (scroll) to settings, press select (right arrow)
scroll to address and press the right arrow button.
wait till display says "sending address".

From the hand held unit:

Do the same:
press menu.
press up arrow(scroll) to settings, press select (right arrow)
scroll to address and press the right arrow button to lock on to the unique address that is being sent from the outdoor panel.
wait until display says "found addressed".
press the menu button to save and exit this mode.

Now return to the outdoor panel:
press the menu button 3 times to exit the "sending address" mode."


What other symptoms do you have?

1. In the Auto mode, does it still run all the schedules?
2. Can you switch between Pool and Spa using the valve button on the panel
3. Do the aux buttons work?
4. Does the remote show any error messages?

The auto mode works and runs the schedules for the filter pump, but not for anything else including the sweep. There are no error codes on the remote. I can work everything else including aux when I put it in service mode at the panel.

I assume that you have already tried pushing the reset button on the main panel and turning off all the power going to the ET and then turning it back on...

Sorry, but other than that, I can't be of much help...

Looks like it might be time to call Pentair's help line.

Let's see if some of our other members have any ideas..
