I think you have a new filter in your future. If you have 1 crack like that, you may have others, but not noticeable yet because all pressure is being relieved through that crack.
When it comes to pressure vessels, it is always best to err on side of replacement vs. repair, especially fiberglass type of housings. I think it is actually fiberglass reinforced polypropylene.
Thanks for the replies, I have a brand new replacement going in shortly. BTW, could this be the cause of the clunking noise I posted about earlier when the heater is running?
