Hello all.
I control my 3 year old Pentair EasyTouch system with the Pentair ScreenLogic app and ScreenLogic wireless link. I see that Pentair has a new Home app, but it is my understanding that my current system is not supported. Is that correct? Is anyone familiar with the differences with the new system/app?

ajw22, Thanks for the table, that is helpful. Their naming convention is confusing to me.

Jimrahbe, my EasyTouch system does everything I need it to do. I'm curious what the improvements and new features are. Plus, I just like to have the newest tech :).

77,

There is no doubt that the IntelliCenter is a better system, but the basic functions are the same..

The EasyTouch (ET) has a max of 12 schedules, the IntelliCenter (IC) has has a max of 100.
The ET has a black and white alphanumeric display with no graphics. The IC has a color touch screen with graphics.
The ET's firmware can't be updated by the average pool owner. The IC's firmware can be updated using the internet.
The ET electronics is all on one card, so what you buy is what you get. The IC has several different cards that plug together so the IC can be configured for your pool.
The ET requires the ScreenLogic add on,, if you want remote control. The IC comes with a built-in remote system..

If your ET is working well for you now, I really doubt that you will see any advantage to upgrading. That said, an upgrade kit to change your ET into an IC is about $1,000 and is a DIY install. So when your ET dies, it would make sense to spend the money on an upgrade kit vs. repairing the old ET.

Thanks,

Jim R.
