Pentair Actuator odd problem...

Screen Logic Pool and Spa have been working great since I built it a few years ago.

This morning I came out to a empty spa... I know the actuator was the culprit.

flipped the toggle on the back of the actuator and nothing happened. I put the pool in Service mode and the toggle worked as it should. Then I put the valves in Spa mode and the Actuator was non responsive again.

What would cause a previously working Actuator to go dark during mode selection? Remember the Actuator works with the toggle but only in Pool Mode (not spa mode)

is this an Easytouch (4/8/lite) or Intellitouch?

mode is auto/service/timeout, and the valve settings are pool/spa/fill/drain...
1. when you first flipped the toggle and nothing happened... was it in auto mode?, and were the valves set to pool?
2. when you set the valves to spa and the actuator was non-responsive again... were you still in service mode or did you go back to auto mode? and do you mean you flipped the toggle and nothing happened?
