Hi. My contractor just finished a pebbletec install. After the pool was filled, I caught a small area which doesn’t seem to be fully covered by pebbles as shown in the pic. Will this be an issue at all in the long run?

Hard to judge from a photo but it looks like it was applied a bit thin and the pebbles washed out, or they didn't expose that one spot enough. Have you asked the contractor about it?
Thanks for your response Austin. I finally got a call back from him this morning and he said that they probably missed the spot with the acid wash. Promised to come back and hit it with a bit more acid to get the spot properly exposed.
Let's say worse case scenario that he is wrong and there wasn't enough material applied to that area, what would the longer term consequence of it be?

Long term consequences could be water exposure to the shotcrete shell that could lead to water exposure to the rebar cage.
