Can anyone comment to the process of chipping out plaster and replacing it? Jackhammer it out in 1 day and then another day to plaster? We just had our backyard remodeled after the pool was finished and now we’re worried they’re going to destroy our yard again while they chip it out and replaster.

There is a full chip out, which is preferred vs just a chip out of the problem areas.

The first question is why is your builder recommending a chip out/replaster? Is this a new build?

This is a new build. Completed beginning of September. I’ve added some photos to my original post but basically there is some discoloration. PebbleTec came out and said it needed to be acid washed again. Acid guys were here and said there are spots with no pebbles so nothing to acid wash. They called in for a full chip out.

It’ll be more than two days.

If they are willing to do this at no cost to you to make it right, I would just go with it. That is a reputable builder. Very noisy, but not that messy, its all in the pool. Just make sure there is access for a wheel barrow to remove the debris that won't damage the area traveled.
