We'll probably have some down time tomorrow so I don't mind installing the equipment if need be... What else am I gonna do?

Dang I wish I were there .... I mean I'd be totally useless and just drink beers (I'm also good at heavy lifting, sweeping up junk and holding lights...) but it would be so much fun 
Pssssfffft, hot....been 106+ here for I don't know how long and just spent the morning with my chainsaw decimating some overgrown mesquite trees branches...

I wish that I could say that I am. But we had a miscommunication with how I wanted the tile to lay out and now it's done and I'm almost over it..almost. I may pull it off over the winter and redo it.
The way everything else is coming together looks amazing. The countertop is just ugh. Not how I would have done it. I wish I'd done it myself. Oh well.

Oh no! I am so sorry. The rest of the pool looks so amazing - maybe you will not focus on it when you have that pretty blue water!? Try to look at everything as a whole. (Ha - you'd laugh if you knew how things like this keep me up at night). Hang in there!

You're right though. A lot of these problems get forgotten when it's all done and you just see it as a whole

Reclaimed wood with another foam planter in front [emoji4] today's the day we start AB!
I looked at it again this morning and I don't think it's that bad now. Once it's grouted the problem areas will only be noticeable when you stare straight at them.
Here is a picture of one of the areas. They didn't lay the mesh out on the table and cut it where it lied instead they tried to make the top line up with the front and spread the pattern out across the top. It's curved and when the pattern grew they had seams to deal with and just stuck chips of tile in those seams...their way looks harder but they misunderstood me and thought that's what I wanted. I figured they would either treat the front and top as two separate planes or have the pattern change as it rounds over the top...oh well. Like I said looking at it after a good nights sleep has definitely improved my opinion about it.

They also didn't float out the uneven areas. When I realized they weren't it was too late for the front but they did float the back side

I love your pool. I love the fact that you did it all on your own. And you guys are fantastic and seem like lots of fun.
I'm not trying to make you feel bad or be a troll but.....
NOPE! That tile job is/was amateur-hour. And that's coming from a guy who will gladly admit that I SUCK at laying tile! What you are showing would drive me insane (OCD).
You deserve better and I know you can do better. BUT, it's not critical at this point. You can finish the pool, fill it and enjoy it and fix the tile later.
You guys are going to have an awesome backyard and it will be the envy of the neighborhood!!
