Owner/builder SoCal

I was planning on the blue but there wasn't any in stock and I also wanted to match the silicone for the expansion joint above the tile with the same color grout and they had delorean the other would have been a special order so the stock options made the decision for us. I'm really happy with the results. I think it'll look even better once the haze is cleaned and we seal it. We still need to tile the countertop on the bar and grout the coping joints and seal it too

Delorean is a great color - especially once it's dry. It looks really good from what I can tell from the photos! It also seems like it will be a good color to use for all your grouting. Can't wait to see this all finished!

To the GC and Sub (not sure who the Boss is),

Ok, so your pool build is amazing, just like everyone says - blah, blah, blah - but the pictures are driving me crazy!! I keep seeing these cool pictures of one small part at a time which is great for the details and I'm sure just fine for YOUR diary/journal/record of your pool build but could you pleeeeze throw in a shot once in a while taken from a second floor window or something??? I can't get your pool pieces put together in my mind. Yes, I have tried to search back in your thread, but I'm old and lazy and didn't find anything quickly enough. Even if there is one, it wouldn't be current with all your progress.

Sincerely and thanks in advance,
Suz ;-)

Awwww.... Thank you!!

(c'mon, isn't there anyone else out there who would like to see a picture of the entire work site - at least once in a while? And I can name a few other build thread owners who could do the same! Let's see if others take the hint....)

Honestly speaking, there's not nearly enough "plumber's butt" shots in this thread!! Even Brian is known to let his chonies ride low for a photo-op....

The lighting is horrible and makes everything look dingy but I'm going to work and can't wait until the "golden hour". I'll take better shots tomorrow when the lighting is right. This will give you an idea of the pool layout

Fabulous! It's going to look AWESOME (because it already looks awesome)!

How about some nice wrought iron work on top of the lower exterior wall? Also, those walls need some serious green - vines or tall shrubs...

I know. I'm thinking of horizontal plank boards just over the cmu portion but not the slumpstone and jasmine here and there to soften it up. Behind the bar top will be reclaimed wood planking with an industrial vibe to give a more edgy feel to all the bling we have going on.
