I believe we have the same thoughts concerning the precast vs. poured. I like the poured concrete idea better than the precast, mainly due to the minimal joints. And I am trying to get the chipped edge look, which is tough to find in precast.

I liked the thickness of the poured concrete and I like the idea of paying someone else to do it.

That is some pretty tile! Now lets talk about prep for it! The mortar is SO important for glass tile. See if you can play with different colors under it. A white paper towel will give you white, something light gray??? see what you can find. Off white??? do this outside by the pool so you are seeing how it will look in real life. The grout will be very important also!

I LOVE paying some one to do hard work like the coping and such! SO nice to sit back and watch while they sweat!

I like this one - Daltile Ocean Jewels 2" x 2" Crackled Accent Tile in Mother of Pearl | Wayfair

I like the "broken window" look....but, then again, I've been banned from dressing my daughter anymore in the mornings after a series of fashion faux-pas ... apparently my sense of fashion is a bit dated....

Man you've got some expensive taste! Of course you do make prime rib on a whim so I'm not surprised.

From Gwendolyn "daddy, I am SO into 80s music right now. It must be a phase"
