This is the shock and CYA I am planning to use with the above amounts and distribution methods if you approve.
Alum -- that is clarifier/flocculentaluminum in it (no clue why?)
I suspect that is 6% sodium hypochlorite, at most. It is actually quite weak.crazy high duty germicidal bleach
You are correct. We do NOT help read the test strips. They are worse than knowing nothing about your water as they are so inaccurate. As far as "couldn't get a response here"..................I beg to differ with that. Several different people DID respond with honest, correct, caring replies.I tried posting for help reading it but couldn't get a response here or any other forum. It's weird.... I have noticed that no one responds to pleas to help read test results on any forum readily and it seems to be something start up people really needs help with
Step 1 - Order a quality test kit TF100 or Taylor K2006C
Step 1A - Read ABCs of Pool Water Chemistry
Step 2 - Use Pool Math, add the appropriate amount of CYA (stabilizer) and Liquid Chlorine (Bleach or liquid shock)
Step 3 - Put all of the other potions and notions in the back of the shed and forget about them, only pull out on the advice of this forum
