Why do several of the ebay overlap liner sellers specify "not for intex pools" or none of our liners will fit Intex or any soft-sided swimming pool? Are your overlap liners you bought originally designed for the metal sided pools? I dont know why they wont fit? I dont want to find out the hard way once Iopen it I own it

The types of liners used on a metal wall pool are different than those needed for soft side pools. They are not interchangeable. In metal wall pools, the metal holds the force of the water and the liner provides the waterproof barrier to hold the water. In soft side pools, the wall is the liner and does both containment and waterproofing. the material thickness is significantly different between the two. Also, soft side either have a pocket on top for the rails or an inflatable ring.
