I accidently left my hose on last night and woke up to a pool filled to the brim. I have brought water level down, but there is a hole/pipe on the opposite side of the pool that my skimmer is. It is the same size, same cover as the skimmer but just looks like an empty pipe. I don't recall there usually being water in there, however I just looked and there was some. Do I need to get a submersible sump pump and pump it out? Or does that eventually dry up?

Ok well now I'm still thinking about this. So it is a pipe for a slide, but will it do any damage to the pool if there is water in there? And where did my overflow water go? I don't know if I just happened to catch it right when the water happed to be at the very top this morning and nothing actually spilled out. The metal box that the auto cover is in was dry, not sure if that means anything. Thank you.

At the rate the garden hose was filling the pool anything overflowing the top would have been the same flow rate as leaving your garden hose on in your yard all night. It may have overflowed but you may just have not noticed it especially if you have landscaping that could have absorbed it

Just thinking out loud….
