Operating new heat pump while pool in shock mode

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone knew if it was okay to run a heat pump while shocking the pool? I didn't know if the high chlorine was an issue like it could be for a gas heater. Thanks

If your FC is at or below SLAM level based on your CYA, it makes no difference for either heater.

pH is an issue with heaters. Not FC.
