Hi. Just opening pool to a mixture of unclear, algae, and some leaf muck that accidentally slipped off cover into pool. Mix that with a bunch of tadpoles and it's not a pretty sight! I am wondering if I should still do water test before starting slam or drop some chlorine before water sample. Appreciate the thoughts.

Once you have run the pump for a few hours take a water sample and run your tests. Always add chemicals based on testing.
Thank you. Should I run it through the filter or just circulate it. It is pretty dirty and I am skimming as I go.
