Opening a hot tub tonight advice

So I filled our new hot tub with water and placed a triclor floater in it. My question is for some reason the ph is at 8.2 even though it’s straight from our hose yesterday. If the chlorine is at a good level will be be dangerous to swim in tonight and get something to lower the ph tomorrow? I also think the trichlor will lower it. Just wondering if it will be okay to do a swim tonight as we are excited to try it out

right i plan on doing liquid chlorine after the cya is up. One more question… my ph thing only goes up to 8.2 how do i know if it’s higher than that?

A taylor k2005 test kit uses acid and base demand, not ph, to determine amounts needed. This works regardless of ph reading or color scale. By adding acid to the sample until the ph reads good, you can determine how much to add to the spa to get the same result.
