I open my pool this week. I close it with a decent chlorine level and it usually lasts all winter. This year I had zero chlorine. I added chlorine and retested.
FC = 5
PH= 7.2
TA = 110
CH= 200
CYA=60
My question is, Pool Math says I need 31 pounds of Calcium chloride. That seems like alot?
I haven't had to add that in the past.
Is there a source of cheap Calcium Chloride?
Thanks!

No need. Poolmath assumes you want to be at the ideal range starting at 350, so we have to jump in and help in some situations to clarify. In your case, unless you have waterline tile or a heater, you really don't need much CH at all. Mainly a little for stain protection. With a CH of 200, I'd leave it alone. If you really are concerned, only add 50 ppm of calcium which will take you to the TFP minimum recommendation level.
