Yesterday i tested the pool again and got the following

Fc 1.5
Ph 7.3
Ta 120
Cya 40

Poolmath says only add 87 oz of bleach to get to fc5, that seems like not enough. What yall think

It depends on the concentration of the bleach you're using, and the volume of your pool.

I just saw your Pool Math logs. It would take 69 oz of 7.5% bleach to get to 5 PPM in a 12000 gallon pool.

Ive been adding and it seems to never go up as much as its supposed to, but maybe ive been using cheap stuff. Ive got it at dollar store but its supposed to be 7.5. ill get clorox tomorrow and aee what happens. Thanks

Don't use Clorox bleach. It has additives that will turn your pool into a bubble bath. Look for plain chlorine bleach. If there is a pool store around you, try to find the 12.5% in refillable containers. Home Depot, Lowe's, and Walmart carry 10% bleach in the pool aisle. Bleach containers will usually have a 5 digit Julian date code. The first two numbers are the year, and the last three are the day of the year. You don't want to buy anything that's more than a couple months old.
