Finally got the pool filled, have been running the filter for a couple hours, having no idea it was going to waste. Finally heard a strange sound, checked on it. Pump set to filter, but going out waste line. Only thing we did was set it 'closed' over the winter. It was working fine last season. Spider valve assembly was replaced 2-3 years ago give or take. Any ideas?

Probably a torn spider gasket in the MPV.
