Omnilogic Retrofit + Pentair Mastertemp400 Issue

I’m not familiar with that type of heater. The yellow wire coming from the heater remote control contact has an inline fuse. Maybe check to see if that’s good? How long of a run is it on your comm wire from your heater to your Omni and what gauge wire? One weird time I had a long run and used like 18 gauge wire and had a similar issue and just replaced it with a 22 gauge wire and it worked.
Thanks! Its a 8 ft long wire. 18 gauge wire. Maybe ill try it with 22. Im getting error AFS (which to my knowledge is blower motor not working, which it is), and when i discount the wire to the omni board and connect the firemans switch together it works. So maybe you gauge wire solution is what it needs.

The firemans switch always has 24 volts on it from the heater control circuit.

The LVR closes the circuit which powers the MasterTemp controls for the heater to run.

When the heater turns off you need to measure the continuity using a multimeter at the LVR while the Omni is commanding heat. The LVR should be closed allowing the MasterTemp to be powered.

If the LVR is open then there is a problem in the Omni configuration.

Let's see what @ChrisLPC thinks.
Its night here now and i can see the display better. it says error AFS very briefly and then turns "off" but the blower continues to work. Confused as when i disconnect the OMNI and reconnect the firemans switch, the heater works. Your friend @ChrisLPC suggested using a different gauge of wire which i will try.

Going to a smaller gauge wire will not fix the problem. Don't waste your time on that.

The AFS error is interesting.

Is the heater wired to 120V or 240V?

This picture shows you have the 240V red plug in. If the heater is connected to 120V while you have the 240V plug in t blower fan will not run at the correct speed and give the proper airflow.

Only change the plug if you are 100% sure the heater is connected to 120V as running it on 240V with the 120V plug in will damage the heater.

The electrican is here. Its connected to a separate 240V breaker. It was initially on a relay.

Hey @ajw22 just an update i figured it out! For some reason the heater was duplicated in the system. So it was turning it ON and then OFF because it was getting confused which one to turn on! Thank you soooooo much for your help!! I couldn't have done it without you.

Now I'm onto the valve actuator for the spill over. . My pool has a raised spa that spills over into the pool when in POOL mode. When in spa mode the valves should change and close the flow to the pool (and hence stop the spillover).

Should the spillover be in the POOL section, or the SPA section? It was working before but now that seems to have disappeared from the configuration.

Interesting. Never saw that before.

I am not sure where it is in Quick Edit. You can set the spillover in the Configuration Wizard...
