I have a 16x32 inground vinyl liner pool. I'm noticing water level is dropping. I haven't done bucket test yet but plan to. Looking on Amazon for dyes.

Question about dyes, what's the best color? Water is crystal clear. Liner is blue. Anyone with practical experience have recommendations?

I see this and it comes in either blue or yellow

About how much is leaking per day ? This time of year has more noticable evaporation for you because it's starting to warm up during the day but the nights are still cool. Pretty soon the April showers will negate the evaporation or exceed it.

Here's to hoping it's not a leak. 🤞

And Welcome back !!

I have used red food coloring (i pretty much knew exactly where my leak was)
and many report that bluing is effective and it comes in a pretty good size bottle for cheap which is helpful when you’re dealing with a needle in a haystack. I happen to have a billion medicine syringes (kiddos) - they are also available at the pharmacy for free usually.

I have used red food coloring. Wear gloves when preparing or look like you murdered someone for a few days if you are sloppy. I used a disposable plastic water bottle with a small hole in the cap. These also work well (Wash bottle). The wash bottle also works nice when testing the pool water.
