I'm going to do an OCLT tonight and normally my pump is set to turn off at 8 pm. Should I allow the pump to shut off or run it thru the night?

Most of the times an OCLT is done during a SLAM and part of that process involves running the pump 24/7. I suggest for you to keep it running to make sure all variables are taken into account, such as the filter.
Make sure all chlorine sources are empty or turned off, example no pucks or SWG is turned off.
