This morning is the second time I found this error My pool is was completed in November. The solution has been to turn off the pump, then turn it on again, which fortunately I can do remotely. Does anyone know why this happens or how to avoid it? I am afraid I may not notice it and go a day without generating chlorine.

Check how the Aquapure is wired.

Show us pics of the Aqualink panel showing the wiring inside.

Mine does it too but not as frequently as yours. With mine when it loses communications the swg is still running. Yours probably also is. Reseat the 4 wire connection.

I have this exact problem - it used to happen during hotter weather, but after getting it to happen for the Jandy area rep he sent me a new TriSensor, a Aquapure board and a bunch of other things were done, including re-doing several of the 4 conductor connectors. The firmware was also updated on my system by the Rep. The frequency of the problem is now much lower. So far I have seen it once this year. I am not really sure how often it happens.

I asked Jandy to implement a error log, so that a tech, or the owner, could see when things were not working.

The software is so limiting - it seems like a simple check via software - "SET AQUAPURE TO 20%" - "CHECK AQUAPURE STATUS", "IF AQUAPURE=NOT FOUND, RECORD FAULT" or something similar would be able to be done...but no. Even a push option to a phone or email for this kind of error would be nice.

When my problem was a bit worse, it caused the FC to drop if I didn't catch it. For a time I would check it every day I remembered...

Well im having the same issue after installing a new cell plc1400 and and sensor what's really weird is everything is fine using the manual display panel but in aqualink it doesnt show but if i goto help and look at the rs485 devices it shows it as a Aquaright 1 and says not compatible. Ive tried clearing the memory under system settings with no luck verified all wires look ok im totally confused why it thinks its a aquaright instead of a aquapure

Reviving this from April....

I am getting the same error. I notice for me that it happens if the breaker on my filter pump trips. So the iAquaLink thinks the Filter Pump is on (and reports it on), but it's actually off and the breaker is tripped. I have to reset the breaker, then I usually enter Service Mode, then Auto, and turn my Filter Pump back on, then the error for the SWG goes away. I have an issue I have to address with WHY the Filter Pump breaker is tripping as the root cause.. (which only happens when a second pump is running at the same time).

You can usually just turn off the filter pump and turn it back on. It's really not a big deal. If you're set on resolving it reseat the 4 wire connection for the swg on both ends.

I started a thread about my version of this problem here. AquaPure is supposed to be on the filter pump relay, which means it's on the same breaker. Breaker trips mean AquaPure board has no power, which means iAquaLink can't talk to it. So the error makes sense.

My pump install instructions say no other pump should be on the same breaker. I'm rewiring to make that true.

This does not happen frequently for me. All I have to do is turn off the filter pump and turn it on again. I changed my schedule so it’s completely off twice a day for at least 15 minutes and no overlapping starts of devices. So for example my spillover starts 5 mins after the waterfall.

So basically a non issue for me now.

I also installed a WaterGuru in the skimmer so I get an automated FC and pH report for peace of mind.
