This weekend we get to hook up our SWG and robot, aka Pumba, a pool Rumba 😆. Hallelujah! I'm sick of adding liquid chlorine. Anyway, we have a dummy cell. Do we just turn everything off and unscrew the dummy and put in the real one? Do we need to do anything else to get it working or does it automatically work when it's installed? I would love to hear what settings people use for theirs to get an idea of what we should start at with it then adjust from there. I know I've read people keep their pump running on low 24/7 but what does that mean? What is low in numbers?

Be sure the power is fully removed from the Intellicenter then wire in the SWCG.
Have you added salt? If not, put in 2/3 rds what Poolmath calls for, mix it in well with the brush and let the pool circulate for a day. Test salinity. Add what is needed to get to ~3200 ppm salinity. Be sure the SWCG is OFF or not installed for this process.
Start the SWCG generating 2 ppm FC per day. Use Poolmath to determine the settings.
Your minimum RPM to close the flow switch for the SWCG is your base flow rate. Probably around 1400-1600 rpm. Once the SWCG is installed, run the pump at 1400 rpm, see if the flow switch is closed (SWCG Flow light Green). If so, that is your base rate. If not, increase by 100 rpm until the SWCG light is Green.

Thank you. It's actually already hooked up to electrical and sitting in a box next to the equipment. We'll add the salt in Friday then.

The pool guy overseeing our plaster and equipment start up came back today. He put salt in, we have no idea what kind or how much. *sigh* Left the SWG running and my sweet hubby doesn't read this forum, hasn't learned the do's and don'ts. Had to get him to turn off the SWG. Yes, the salt was brushed in. No, no bags were left in the trash and no he didn't see them. Sounds like the guy just opened and dumped, ran the trash out to his truck and came back to brush. I don't know WHY this guy is so sneaky. He did the same with pool chemicals, just said he was doing his thing, asked for details, and we're left clueless cause he wouldn't share.

Salt added to ours on Tuesday and yours on Friday. *grin*

I think one reason is that "the majority/nobody on TFP" just want it finished and don't really care about the details, so they don't think to involve you. Both my designer and builder said that I was the most involved owner they have ever had.
LOL! and I was over here thinking I was holding back :ROFLMAO: wonder what they really meant by "involved" :unsure:

@colleenbevans Thank you 😊! I really like the mosaics. We had some in our last pool and wanted them again but didn't want to spend the money. My husband knew how much I wanted them so told me to go ahead. I'm so glad I did. I love these fusion glass ones. So pretty!

Would you give me a ballpark on price of the mosaics? There is no place close to me, I'll have to order on the phone.

I ordered them from here. They've gone up a couple dollars since I bought mine. I paid $49 for the smaller ones. They Noble Tile they are way more expensive.

Where in Pool Math do I figure out how much salt to add? I switched our pool to be SWG instead of bleach but it's not giving me a target and I came find where to fix it.
 
Go to settings and be sure you are tracking salt. Then put in what your water currently tests at. There is salt all ready in your water. Put 3200 ppm as your goal. Then put 2/3rds of the result in the pool. Brush well and run the pump. Test salt level after 24 hours and then add the balance needed to get to 3200 ppm.
