O/B in Gilbert, AZ for 2nd time

The guy is avoid washing now. It is really cool to watch the extra blue wash away and become the correct color. I told the guy it was cool to watch and he said, It's satisfying 😊. Yes it is 😂. My meter reading isn't working though. I realized after the spa was about 3/4 up the bottom that he was filling it. I ran out and took a pic of the meter but then went back outside and he was using the hose for his power washer. I really hope he doesn't finish before I get home from picking up my son from school. I at least want to get an accurate number for the pool. E83C73D6-273D-4618-A7F7-E011FB73A1CD.jpegC7342E24-2F94-47E5-9D02-25FD828DA341.jpeg5DA19174-1F75-4798-AE5C-F70176DAD7E5.jpeg

We have water! Spa is filled but just to the bottom of the tile. Since grout came out when they power washed it so he fixed it and it has to dry. I got a picture of the meter as he was putting on the drains and it was beginning to fill. The hoses were already in the pool so didn't get socks on the end but I'm sure it will be OK. I did step into the pool barefoot and I'm happy with how smooth it is. Yay 😊!418034ED-2DD9-4620-8649-251718930508.jpeg3A8FBE65-7BDE-40E8-95B0-4EB000930CDB.jpeg84B4FCD0-E997-4AAB-827C-0D4382310ECA.jpeg

I am so mad at my son and his friends 😡. He went into the pool with muddy feet 🤬. I went out to see the water level and found the muddy foot prints. I was livid! I got the hose and tried rinsing them off but they wouldn't come off so I went and got my brush. Some came off, since just lightened. I'm really hoping brushing and chemicals will do the job 🙏🏻🤞🏻. I made sure to get the whole thing wet like the guy did to avoid streaking. Hope it worked. Before I saw those I saw his friend in the spa and yelled at him to get out and made all the kids leave the backyard. But I went out there just now and the water in the spa is dirty because I'm sure his feet were dirty. Is this going to ruin the plaster? What should we do? Taking a picture from above it wasn't working but you can see how dirty it is from this angle. 99004AB8-857E-46B1-8989-E9F962882F8B.jpegHere's the water level at 6:30.738EB062-1775-4137-8FE7-CA71723FAF9E.jpeg
I am very happy with how smooth the finish is 😍. It was one of my concerns with pebble but the micro is great.

Tonight at 8:30 the water was above the bottom step so we turned off the hose with the 3/4" pipe and left the 1/2" pipe with the hose running so it wouldn't overflow tonight. 15C51194-2735-4C8B-A537-4C85A3704226.jpegC5899844-454E-43EA-B326-FDC69EDD16F0.jpeg

1. I LOVE your little details with the mouse ears, the shell, and the sword fish. The crew did a fantastic job getting those to stand out, your edge tile, too! It makes your pool so fun.
2. Be thankful those were 'little' friends, hopefully under 50lbs, so they didn't damage the plaster with their weight. You'll have to check that area in the spa you said was drying. Hopefully it wasn't splashed.
3. Brushing will help with the mud. Are your pumps on? Check with your pool builder - But that's what I'd do. Let the pumps and water flow take that dirt to the filter. It may look bad, but that's because you don't have chemicals in the pool. I doubt it'll hurt your plaster. Like you said, your plaster's dry, you could stand on it. I doubt dirt will dirty it -- Not when you have plaster dust hidden in the cracks. So my thought is, don't worry! Dirt will wash down the drain!

Gosh, maybe you should post caution / closed signs on your pool. Why do kids do this now? Did they sneak and mess around before the plaster? Curious.

4. Keep the water flowing. We noticed about 3" gain in an hour with 3 hoses going and stayed up all night. You don't want a water ring!

What kind of spot light do you have in your yard? It shows everything! We want to get something hooked up like that.
LOVE your tile, too! Wonderful!

If the crew put the hoses in the pool, they were careful. Just be careful dragging them out so they don't scrape on the side. And tell your happy little ones not to play with the hoses! I sense another disaster!

Thanks @Sollace 😊. We are so happy with all our choices. I didn't tell anyone about the little hidden Mickey so it was a fun surprise.
My son and his friends would play in the pool when it was shotcrete. I didn't mind. But they were told to stay out. They are only 9 & 10 so I'm not worried about their weight damaging it especially since the acid wash guy was walking around in it for hours.
Our light is a standard flood light. We bought a fancier motion sensor one that was LED and I couldn't stand it. You had to keep moving or it would dim and the light just wasn't bright enough. We were trying to find one that was brighter and was just switch activated and they were getting expensive. I told my husband, I just want a regular flood light like we used to have. It was $12. Sold! We were able to get LED flood light bulbs that were bright enough and I'm happy. We would like to add Cafe lights but that will be later on. We just needed light out there that would let us see.
As for the filling, I think we'll be good. My husband turned out down a bit too so that it wouldn't fill too fast. I remember reading one build thread and it took like 3 days to fill their pool. I'm glad we have better water flow than that.

gurrrrrrrrrrrrr on the kids BUT it will be fine like @Sollace said.

That looks AWESOME!!!! I am loving the color already and it will only get better as the water is balanced and the plaster cures!

Those fun touches and that BLING tile really makes your pool stand out!

The pool is almost full. We have someone coming to do start up on Monday. Is that too long to wait to add chemicals or should we add some now? It says for day 1 to get the pH and CYA right.

Do start the brushing twice a day. Steady top to bottom strokes, pushing the plaster dust to the bottom drain.

I was also worried about my pool start up rep not visiting us until 2 days later. I asked on this forum about that and was reassured a pool can sit up to 3 days without any problems.

Pool is done being filled. It is just over 16,000 gallons without the spa. We need to get that figured out. I love the color 😍! You can see the family putting up thy fence. That was a big job but we just got it done. ECA6A2EF-D613-489B-A29D-1A532CC86A83.jpegBB78F972-B35B-449B-9C1C-800AAE985F25.jpeg
When they were cutting a fence panel we thought we heard a piece of the metal go in the pool. One of our boys got in to look but didn't last long because it was way too cold 🥶🤪.

The 10 year old finally found it but it was a wood chip. Hope there's nothing in it.

Gorgeous color! And your little accents pop!
If you didn't limit your water in the house during your fill, you'll have to figure out your daily water usage and subtract that from your fill. During our fill we didn't use our water at all. Toilets were flushed with a full water bucket. And while hubby called our water company and told them of our fill -- He had to call them back a day or two later and remind them that the fill water shouldn't be charged sewage.

Looks so good! Our yard is still a disaster. The sprinklers are taking longer to reconfigure. The pallet of sod in front looks great but the back yard is still suffering. Now everything is decorated with tarps and towels for this weather. !!
