Our pool was built in 2014, and the Universal Color Logic LED just went dead. Three summers, less that 1000 hours illumination. The warranty is one year.
Needless to say, I am not wanting to give Hayward my money for another poorly designed light. I already have a $400 remote that can't leave the cradle because the battery can't hold a charge.
What other 12-14v lights are people using that have any sort of multi-color option? It would have to retrofit into their receptacle.
FWIW I tested the secondary side of the xfrmer, it's holding steady at 13v.
