Hi folks, I'm hoping to get some help here as I'm guessing that this is user error rather than anything wrong with the poolController itself.

Over the last week I've been slowly getting things set up with nodejs-PoolController and dashPanel.

RPI 3B
Waveshare USB to RS485 adapter -> ICH-40 -> CAT6 -> Green/Yellow on the adapter | ttyUSB0
Waveshare USB to RS485 adapter -> Pentair VS Pump Address 1 -> Communications Cable to Green/Yellow on Adapter | ttyACM3 (4 ports USB adapter - only using 1 port right now)
Waveshare USB to RS485 adapter -> MasterTemp 400 Address 2-> CAT6 -> Green/Yellow/Black (tried it with and without the ground to see if that made a difference) | ttyUSB1

Pump and SWG are controlled fine from dashPanel and schedules seem to work.

I've been trying to add my MasterTemp 400 (post 2021 with 485 board built in) using 3 wire RS-485 to the same USB to 485 USB adapter but I'm not really seeing any traffic.

The one thing I've noticed is that the LCD doesn't change and still allows me to control it from the panel which, I'm guessing, means that I've forgotten to do something.

I've read contradicting posts on whether or not I need to do anything with the Fireman's Switch so I've left it alone for now.

@rstrouse , you seem to have a lot of the answers so I wanted to tag you in here for attention but, frankly, I've seen so many people have great answers in here on this that I've been able to do most of it besides this on my own.

Thanks for any help, I really do appreciate it.

Have you opened a ticket on Github about your problems?

You use either the RS-485 data control or the Fireman's switch relay control, not both at the same time.

I have not as I , maybe mistakenly, guessed that the Github was more for bugs and mind is probably just a configuration, or me, issue.

You never know if it is you or them. Github is for any support issue.
