Ok this is the situation, forgive me if my terminology is off(not a pool guy). I have a newish in ground pool that has 2" pvc outlets for the jets, but there are no jets in them. We have jets in the spa, but not in the pool. I assume the builder never finished the jets. Builder has not responded... I have been searching the internet to find the right jets/fittings/adapters and cant figure this one out. hopefully you guys can help. There are 5 holes in the pool wall, 1 I think is overflow. the hole are just 2" PVC no threads inside, just straight pvc flush up to the wall. Looking in the hole pvc just goes back 10-12" and elbows down. All jets I've searched are 1.5". It seems there should be an adapter or special fitting.
This is the only thing I have found that would fit 2" pvc and I assume a jet could thread into it. Not even sure if that's what its for.
542423 Return Fitting for Schedule 40 PVC - 2 Inch Slip - White - Pentair
Any thoughts
Thank you in advance

Are the inside of your pool return pipes threaded?

Are you sure that it is 2" i.d.? Normally 1 1/2" pipe is used. The fitting you are looking for is an insider eyeball fitting like this one but in 2":

I have not seen any 2" versions. But the pool builder should provide those anyway.

Yeah I'm positive its a 2" i.d. I couldn't find any 2" eyeball fittings either.
The builder didn't provide the fittings and they will not return my calls either.

The fitting you linked to in your first post should have been glued to the end of the 2" pipes. That fitting takes the 2" pipe down to a threaded 1 1/2" where the standard eyeballs screw into. That is the buildup that should have occurred.

That fitting fits on the outside of the pipe. Is this a gunite plaster pool? If so, you will have to chip away the plaster for that fitting to work. It is meant to be installed before plaster.

I'll just throw this out there, but is it possible the return lines are already oriented in the proper direction for circular flow? That's the way mine's is set up. Are the returns set at an angle of just a straight 90 degrees off the wall? Just a thought.

Best of luck!

Edit: I just saw the photo above after I posted...

No they aren't angled. I thought that is how it was supposed be up until recently(again not a pool guy). I noticed the pool isn't getting circulated enough for good filtration.

Exactly what are you seeing? If is algae, then that is most likely a chemical issue and not a circulation issue.

No algae, the main thing I see is that it pushes all the debris to the end of the pool in the spa area and doesn’t get sucked into the filtration. I assume with jets I’ll be able to angle the flow better and the jets will give me more pushing power. Maybe?
