Hello everyone,

I joined many years ago but haven't posted in some time. You all created a monster who has been "trouble free" for years.

Some long time ago I followed your instructions for a no drain acid wash using muriatic acid and it worked like a charm. At least I'm fairly sure I found these instructions here. It definitely was not the ascorbic acid wash. I want to do it again but cannot find the instructions. Can someone point me in the right direction, please?

Thanks, Gary

Welcome back!!!

We have had quite a few folks here have their plaster damaged by acid washings. Caveat emptor.

Here are a few threads with tips and cautions...

I'd forgotten how great this place is.
If it is great, you might consider becomming a supporter. We are a 503c non-profit, all volunteers, and are entirely member supported.

PoolStored - When the site was young I did the "LifeTime Supporter" thing. Is there something else I should do?
I'm just tring to keep the lights on for you and many others. All the mods/guides/experts are voluteers...I make nothing. Lifetime supporter is now gone, can't give you the history on why. If you find more value, drop a shekel, if not, the world will not end. I wanted to be a lifetime supported like you, but was unavailable. We do a drive to get $10K in August, I drop $500 (5%) to help...TFP has saved me WAAAAAAAY more than that in just a couple years. I'm am PoolStored because they took me for $1500 in just the first 2 months of pool ownership. TFP survives on less that 25K/year per 503c filings...
