Newly installed pump and filter... leaks

I had my pool professionally installed. The guy that did it used so much silicon I can't see the actual threads on any of the connections to the pump or filter.
The problems started as soon as I turned the pump on for the first time.
Take a look at the videos and let me know what you think I need to do to fix the leaks.

Tell the builder to fix it.

Tell them to send out someone who knows what they're doing because the person was clearly incompetent.

In my opinion, they have earned this degree.

Just print their name on the line.

New VS pump should be connected using Pump Unions and not the threaded connection covered in a hundred lbs, of goop.

He’s not local, and he doesn’t take criticism well.

You can't be afraid of telling a contractor that you are not satisfied with the results, especially when the work is done this poorly.

It seems like some Builders feel like they can do subpar work and no one will say anything.

The builder in the below story thought that they would be able to do poor quality or incomplete work and no one would say anything.

It's not that I'm afraid to tell him I want it re-done, but I'm not really sure that I'd want him to work on it again.
I think I need to find a local person, get a quote for them to fix it and then tell the original guy I want a refund for that amount.
Only thing is I need to find someone local that I can trust to do quality work. Not sure how to go about finding that person.

You need to absolutely have him or someone else redo it with proper hi-temp unions. Why is the filter’s drain plug leaking too?? Was it removed at some point during the install? What for?

The drain plug was not removed as far as I know. I removed it to check the O ring after I saw it leaking. It was so tight I had to use an oil filter wrench to loosen it.
