Sooo, I posted yesterday about having zero chlorine in the new pool despite shocking and adding di chlor. Thankfully I ended up at the pool store because my vac plate was missing from my build and I needed to go grab it. After speaking to one of the owners, I (or she) realized I added DE instead of Di Chlor
I don’t know why my brain didn’t register that. I also had no clue that you need to add DE after you backwash (which I haven’t done).
sooo, back to square one. I added my di chlor this AM and will test (with my new tester that doesn’t just test chlorine, pH and alkalinity). It rained a ton yesterday so hopefully my numbers aren’t crazy. Thanks for the help!! I can’t believe I did that!
