I currently have this pump (or motor??) that started going bad last summer (pics attached). I know nothing about what I need, but I have been reading about variable speed pumps. My electric bills do get quite high in the summer while using this one, even though I only run it about 10 hours per night. Can anyone give suggestions on a good brand VSP as well as a suggestion on what horsepower(??) I would need? My pool is in ground. Vinyl liner. 16x36 size. No waterfalls or anything. Sand filter.
