Where did you order this from? I hope you're sending it back.Thanks. I will not be running a heater. I should go with a jandy 2 way valve, right?
Pump just came in the mail, and I noticed a small crack. Can I just throw some silicone in there?

LOL You will find the dino dirt at Lowes or Home Depot in the pool area. It will be in a large box that is very light to lift. As to how much check your owners manual. Also do some poking around to see what is best to use to measure it.What kinda special dinosaur dirt do i buy for this, and how much?
Again LOL you are going to be glad to see that gone. Are you also taking out the stump?Choppin' broccoli today

Is this good stuff, or is there something else I should look for?

is it the Jandy 2-way valve that i need? The 1 1/2 - 2" positive seal? And I need two of them, is that right? Thanks!
Is it this valve??
I am not sure where you are planning to use those valves to need two of them.
1 1/2" Shed 40 PVC will be slip glued into the valves. Make sure you take the internal mechanism out before gluing and don;t get glue inside the valve.
well from everything I’ve read I’ll need a shut off valve just under skimmer and under the return. I guess I’ll just order 2 and see what happens. Not much written on valves so I have to figure them out myself
Shutoffs for skimmer and return make sense to work on equipment.
What do you think should be written about valves?

Do I need to go jandy quality on those shut offs?
Are additional shut offs needed b4 pump or anywhere else?
And unions. I wonder how many I need and are they all created equal? ?
What valve choices do you think you have? Jandy, Pentair, Hayward, CMP, all make diverter valves. They are all good.
Do you have a picture of your plumbing plan?
What equipment are you planning? Many come with unions. Pumps do not come with unions.
I am sure there are junk knockoffs of stuff. Post links to what you intend to buy.
One valve before the pump on your suction line from the pool skimmer and one valve on the return line after the filter to the pool should do it.
Go move that muriatic acid NOW!
It is very fumie and can mix with chlorine fumes and make a NASTY mess of fumes that can cause huge breathing problems. The muriatic acid fumes can also cause rust on metal. You can store it all by it's self in a plastic bucket with a lid that is vented. I keep mine behind the barn where no critters go.
