Good evening everyone. My family and I just purchased our new home and a salt water pool came with it. As I have never been very good at taking care of pools and have never taken care of a salt water pool. Though, after only 4 days, I've already clogged the sand pump. And am trying to figure out what the three pieces of equipment are and how they work.

Are the 3 pieces of equipment the pump, filter and saltwater chlorine generator (SWCG)? Do you have a heater?
Post pictures of your equipment pad from different angles. Also a picture of your pool (and spa if attached).
Suggest you go to Settings and under Signature - list the mfg. and model of equipment you have, the volume of your pool, denote if it is plaster, vinyl or fiberglass and any other information.
You will need to purchase a test kit - see Test Kits Compared and also read up on the FC/CYA Levels
also best to go the Pool School link (on top left of page) and do some light reading as well as Pool Care Basics is helpful.
You will get a lot of support from the many contributors to the forum.
