I live in Elgin, IL, suburb of Chicago, and just completed our pool build. Not knowing much about pools we went with whatever the sales people suggested. Now that I have a little more knowledge that was not the best idea. So now I have to work with what we have.

32 x 16 4' deep vinyl lined pool / Salt Water
SMF single speed pump
Pentair Inteliconnect
Pentair IChlor
Heat Pump 144 BTU's
Cartridge Filter
2 x Pentair BriteLite

Do I need to purchase a separate Temperature Sensor?

I am Closing the pool this weekend.

I look forward to talking with all of you.

Welcome to TFP! Separate sensor?.... Other than perhaps having a standard pool (water) thermometer, I don't think so. Others might confirm. Congrats on the new pool. :swim:

Paul,

If the IntelliConnect does not come with a temp sensor, then if you want the IntelliConnect to know what the water temperature is, you will need to buy a temp sensor.. I don't know much about the IntelliConnect, but if it can control your heater, it will need to know the water temp.

Thanks,

Jim R.
