I've been a pool owner for the last 17 years. Over that time, maintenance was mostly what the pool store told me to do. Recently I retired and now have been spending more time getting a better understanding of my pool. Which is how I found this site (because I do have questions which I will put in a different post). So now I know, I could have made those 17 years much easier. Anyway, I'm hoping for those improvements going forward.
In summary, this is what I have:

- 1.5 HP single speed Pentair pump for pool circulation
- 1.5 HP single speed Pentair pump for water feature
- Pentair Cartridge filter
- Zodiac MX8 Suction side vacuum
- 8 Gal Liquidator (installed this year)
