New to Forums - Just signed to build a pool in The Woodlands, TX

Here are some ideas for step/shelf markers. The ski is the limit really. Here is a link when I did a search. I am going to pick a couple of comment on:

step markers pool - Ïîèñê â Google

Bling!!!! 6th from the top on the far left side-it is a solid line of shiny blue tiles.

Some Bling-top row, second one from the right-shiny blue tiles made into a diamond spaced evenly

No bling-using your water line tile have them cut them into 4ths and space them evenly along the steps and shelf. Turn them on their point to add some extra interest.

So what are you thoughts? Asks the BLING :thequeen:

I do think step/shelf makers are a very good idea.

PB said they plan to pour the decking Mom/Tues then lay the travertine late next week. After that we get to prep for the Pebble followed by the application of the Pebble a week later then done! Well, done with the build then comes landscaping...

I have read many - we are happy. Does anyone have thoughts on markers for the steps or sunshelf? Ideas?

I think lines of tile look nice, in fact, better than my 1+' spaced 3x3 tiles (cut from the 6x6 waterline tiles). Also our waterline tile blends too well with the plaster. They aren't the same but there's not enough contrast for my liking. I prefer contrast and a more continuous line look versus very occasional.

Looks like we may be on a delay. We decided to bump out the decking on either side and likely require re-approval from the HOA.

That’s ok though. I would rather delay the decking and get the size we want than just stay on schedule and regret a key aspect of the design.

PB is resubmitting today for the increase in decking by 192 SF. You can see the change in the outer lines of the decking in the drawing below. I am going to call the HOA to be extra nice to them :)
