I installed an Aqua Plus T-15 SWG yesterday. My salt level seems to have leveled off at 3000 ppm and other than getting my CYA level up from 30, my water is in range. Is there a preferred method to determine the % setting for the SWG?

Should I determine the "turn over" time for my pool based on flow rate of the pump and the volume of the pool and then adjust the % of the SWG?

According to the Hayward site (SP2310X15) my pump's max flow rate is 45GPM in 1.5 in pipe. (not sure if that is what it is actually moving) My pool is about 34,400 gallons and if I divide that by 45GPM I get 12.7hrs (764 minutes) to filter the entire pool once. Is that right?

Is it a bad idea to split that into 2 days and adjust the chlorinator output to keep up?

Asking for a friend......

With your pool volume the T15 will add 5 ppm of FC per day. Most pools use 2-4 ppm FC per day.

Start with 3 ppm use per day. That is a pump run time of 14 hours per day with % setting at 100%.
Set it up that way by first using liquid chlorine to raise your FC to target range for your CYA. Then monitor each day to see that your FC is in range. If you are losing FC level each day, run the pump longer.

Poolmath app does all these calculations for you.

Thanks! I use the poolmath app and just realized that I needed to change my settings from Bleach to SWG to get the right levels

Does it matter if the pump run time is split or during sunlight vs night? Should I just pick 14 hours of the day to run continuously?

The SWCG and pool will not care when the FC is added. Pick when you need to skim the pool the most.
