I replaced my 17 year old filter module in May ‘21. Never had pool service or backwashed, always broke down to clean. Filter was fine, just old. First time I cleaned the new filter I noticed one of the pleats was torn all the way up (looked like material had beginning and end and failed to connect). I was told to contact Pentair for warranty, and they sent me a new one. Took it out of the box and examined pleats, and same issue on replacement. Sent pictures to Pentair and they replaced again. Examined the the third one and it too was torn. So Pentair sent me another one. Now I have 4 filters with a torn pleat (first one is still in use). My original filter was one continuous pleat, no beginning or end. Pentair has not responded to me in a while, they said they checked with production and there are no issues. Has anyone else noticed this with their filter?
