New fiberglass pool salt added one week ago. Pentair intellichlor salt chlorine generator reads salt level good. Cell alternating on and off every couple minutes, flow is good (running 6 hours 2250 rpm and 6 hours 3000 rpm schedule- manually running overnight as well), sanitizer output at max. Still haven’t registered any chlorine on test strips. Supplementing with liquid chlorine shock to keep algae at bay.

PH 7.8
Cl 0
TA 120
Stabilizer 30-50

Please help!! Do we need to be more patient? We’ve used the pool everyday since putting in salt. Is there something wrong with salt cell?

Welcome to TFP!!! I used to live in Anderson Twp.

First thing to do is get a recommended test kit. Do that now. Link-->Test Kits Compared

SWCG is good at maintaining FC. Not good at raising. You should add 6ppm of liquid chlorine. See if the cell can hold 6ppm. If not add the 5ppm per day until the test kit arrives.

When the kit arrives, do this test. Will tell us if you have algae...Link-->Overnight Chlorine Loss Test

If you fail OCLT, then use the Slam process to clear it. Link-->SLAM Process
