The original pump to my Pro Series pool went out just before closing the pool so I've been scrambling to get the new pump to work properly so I can get the pool closed before it gets much closer. I purchased an Intex 2500 GPH Krystal Clear pump, it is hooked up through the original SFS2000 skimmer; however the fitting to convert the skimmer over to the Intex pump is too small and there doesn't seem to be a correct size to fit so I have rigged it up to get the pool closed up and ready for winter.
I'm having problems with the pump holding a consistent flow rate, it starts out moving a large amount of water and eventually slows to pumping very little. I've cleaned the filter, checked the O rings and fittings, checked for blockage in the hoses or connections and I can't find anything to fix it. Anything anyone can tell me would be helpful!
Also if anyone knows how to properly convert the SFS skimmer over to the pump I'd appreciate that information as well.
