Please help! I just got a new above ground pool pump on amazon, and it doesn't come with fittings. The outside and inside is threaded, outside is 2.5" I believe and inside is 1.5". the hose that comes with my pool has a 2" threaded end. You'd think it would be easy to find a 2 to 1.5 threaded on both sides connection, but I can't find it at all!

This picture from a customer on amazon is the closest I could find to what it should look like, but my hose would not fit around any of the 1.5 inch threaded pvc pieces at home depot, so I'm really not getting how he got that to fit on there.

Typically when people use proper AG equipment with Intex pools they convert to standard fittings at the pool wall. The most complete way to do this is to install an AGP skimmer and return on the pool, but it's a lot of custom work. And then you use regular AGP 1.5" flex hose or hard plumbing to the equipment.

If you would rather just get your hoses hooked up I believe this is what you would use. No guarantees that full size AG pump isn't going to suck the intex hose flat like a straw though.

You're going to want some Plasko Joint Stik or white pipe dope too for the threaded pump connection. Teflon tape will work but it doesn't work well.
