Hey everyone so I have a new 22x52 pool with the SWG and the instruction manual said to run the Boost system on my SWG for the first time set up. Only thing is it says it will increase the run time 8x what I have the normal run time set at. Intex has my pool size set at 5 hours a day run time that would make me have to run my SWG Boost cycle for 40 hours..and that just does not seem right to me that seems like way to much on my SWG Cell. (SWG has been running on boost for 15 hours) would I be safe to shut it off test my water and add chlorine manually to give the pool an easier start up? I will be going to a pool store to have it tested..

With that size pool you will need a proper test kit -- I recommend the TF100 - Test Kits Compared
Use liquid chlorine / plain bleach to raise your FC to the target range based on your CYA - FC/CYA Levels. Then use the SWCG to maintain your FC.
I suggest you read ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry and consider reviewing the entire Pool School eBook.
