New pool owner -- need help understanding the SLAM process and CYA chart

That makes sense. I would think concentrations above 6% are only found in pool stores... right?
Hardware stores and Walmart are my go to stores for 10% liquid chlorine. Walmart brand is pool essentials near the garden center. Usually stored inside and fresh Julian codes so not highly degraded. ($3.65 a gallon)
Home Depot/Lowe’s usually have 2 or three packs and vary whether stored inside or outside.
