New pool owner - learning to remove mustard algae, now chlorine levels are zero

I did not add any stabilizer after the initial fill. Would using the Clorox shock product I referenced above be ok to both raise chlorine and CYA levels? Once stabilized, I plan to only use liquid chlorine.
You can use Clorox pure stabilizer but generally Clorox chlorine products contains other junk you don’t want in the water. Just get some pure CYA from Home Depot or pool store.

If you fully drained/refilled and didn't add any stabilizer, your CYA is essentially zero. Tap water doesn't contain CYA.

Add enough stabilizer to get to 30 - using the sock method.
Do an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test
If you pass the OCLT, dose FC daily to the high side of target range. If you don't pass the OCLT, it's time to SLAM Process.

The longer you wait and allow FC to go below minimum for your CYA (FC/CYA Levels), the higher the chance you will get algae - if you don't already have it.

That dichlor is acidic (will lower your ph - which is currently 7.4) & it also contains copper.
Best to use granular stabilizer via the sock method to get cya to 30ppm. Then liquid chlorine to get fc to target fc levels for that 30ppm cya level
FC/CYA Levels
& do the
Overnight Chlorine Loss Test.
