Hey all! I'm a new pool owner and looking to confirm a few test points and next actions. I've been reading up the past week on the forums and the pool school so have purchased a TF100-Pro and ~8 gallons of Liquid Chlorine in preparation. The pool is currently very green and I just tested it using the kit. The previous owners used a Frog system pumping coppers into it. My fiance has been desperately trying to get me to go to a pool store and use what they recommend but I want to do it right. The numbers are below..
FC: 0
pH: 6.8 (there was some color but less than the lowest marking.)
TA: 0 (Color was magenta after adding R0008, it never turned green)
CH: 100 (Glad there was one within recommended..)
CYA: 100
With the CYA being so high, I think I have to pump the pool to get rid of it so that I can then Slam if the algae is still present. Is this correct?
